Gambit Releases MIMIC Simulator 9.10
MIMIC now includes support for OpenSolaris

 

 

Nashua, NH – October 22, 2008 Gambit Communications, the leading network and SNMP simulation tools provider announced the release of MIMIC® Simulator version 9.10.

MIMIC supports SNMPv1, v2, v2c and v3, IPv6, IPMI, DHCP, TFTP and ToD, Cisco IOS, TL1 and Cable Modem Simulation capabilities.

MIMIC 9.10 new features include:

  • Support for OpenSolaris platform - MIMIC is already supported on Solaris 2.6 to Solaris 10. Now it is also supported on OpenSolaris.
  • Improved Perl interface - it is now 50-100% faster. If you are using Perl scripts, with this upgrade it will run faster without changing anything.
  • New Python API - now you can control MIMIC with Python, along with C++, Tcl, Java, and Perl.
  • Additional enhancements related to the performance.
  • More pre-compiled MIBs in the MIB library.
  • More devices in the device library.
  • Simultaneously with the MIMIC 9.10 release we have released MIMIC Virtual Lab CCNA 4.10.
