Castle Rock Computing
Castle Rock Computing commenced operations in 1987. The SNMPc WorkGroup
Manager, introduced in 1989, was the first available SNMP manager for
Windows. This easy-to-use tool has proven very popular and there are
currently over 100,000 installed worldwide. July 1998 saw the
introduction of SNMPc Enterprise Manager. This product uses a scaleable
distributed architecture and meets the demanding requirements for
managing today's networks.
Castle Rock's mission is to continue developing products that meet
market demand while not losing sight of the needs of existing customers.
SNMPc Overview
SNMPc is a secure distributed network management system that will
monitor your entire network infrastructure regardless of vendor. It
automatically discovers and polls SNMP v1, v2 and v3 devices, allows
you to collect network statistics and automatically generates Trend
Reports. The distributed polling architecture makes it easy to manage
networks that span multiple sites. In the event of a network problem
(device failure, high Utilization, low disk capacity) SNMPC will
generate an email or pager alert. You can manage your network remotely
with the Windows Client and JAVA WEB Consoles and export map topology,
trend statistics and event log entries to other databases.

developed under the open-source model. For many environments, OpenNMS
can provide all the necessary network monitoring, data collection and
notification needs without the cost of a software license.
The OpenNMS Group, the maintainers of the OpenNMS project, also provide
professional open-source services in the form of support, consulting,
training and custom development. With decades of network management
consulting expertise coupled with a robust, free application, The

The NCC Group
- The National Computing Centre was opened in 1966 under the administration of
Harold Wilson to champion the IT user's cause and to promote the effective use
of information technology. It has been setting standards ever since. In 1988
government funding
ended and the Centre was restructured early in the '90's to succeed against
the vagaries of the market place. It achieved this by focusing on its' winning
technologies, areas of expertise and consultancy services. In 1999 the Centre
sanctioned a Management Buy Out of the commercial business units under the auspices
of NCC Services Ltd. leaving the National Computing Centre to focus on industry-wide
research and information services for their members.
NCC Group now
benefits from its own focus and strategy to accelerate growth. Our mission is
to ensure that clients have the appropriate strategy, people, systems and risk
control measures to gain competitive advantage from information and communications
technology in the new century. We are successfully pursuing this goal with our
client-partners throughout the world.
